Description
The McLoughlin Memorial Association invites you to attend our 5th annual special fundraising event, Dr. John McLoughlin's 5th Annual Soiree. Spend an evening with Dr. McLoughlin (the founder of Oregon City), enjoy wine tasting with Christopher Bridge Wine Cellars, delicious refreshments, listen to live music by Saw Tale Ridge, and bid on unique and interesting treasures in our silent auction. We will also draw the winning raffle ticket for a beautiful 2014 Oregon City Woolen Mills Tribute Blanket made by Pendleton Woolen Mills.
Wear your best tartan, dressy plaid, or period clothing, and enjoy a fun evening with us!
Raffle tickets for the 2014 Oregon City Woolen Mills Tribute Blanket made by Pendleton Woolen Mills may be purchased separately for $5.00 each (or 6 for $25.00), and the blanket is on display in the Barclay House Gift Shop at the McLoughlin House museum. The Oregon City Woolen Mill was known for their bright colors and images. The company was one of Pendleton’s biggest competitors in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Pendleton’s Tribute Series pays homage to the American mills that pioneered the weaving of Indian trade blankets. The 2014 blanket, 5th in a series, is a c.1920 Children’s Cowboy and Indian pictorial.
