Name: The Art of Storytelling in Self-Help/Personal Growth Books with Donald Altman
    Date: September 18, 2018
    Time: 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM PDT
    Event Description:
Come join award-winning writer Donald Altman--author over 15 published books--to hear about the art of writing and publishing in the fields of self-help, spiritual, and personal growth. A former Buddhist monk and psychotherapist, Donald's books integrate brain science, stories, and how-to elements. If you are writing or thinking of writing a non-fiction book, come and hear about how to optimize the five "p's" that publishers are looking for in any non-fiction book project: premise, promise, purpose, platform and passion. The event will include selected readings from some of Donald's books, as well as time for questions about the writing process and how to find a publisher.
