Annie's Grooming & Boarding has been keeping Oregon City dogs and cats looking their best since owner Andrea ''Annie'' Brown left a banking career to work with animals full time. She is a certified cat and dog groomer, and in 2022 she placed first out of more than 70 groomers to earn groomer of the year. The salon sits in the Berry Hill Shopping Center on South Beavercreek Road, an easy drive from West Linn, Gladstone, Milwaukie, Clackamas, Canby, Mulino and Molalla.
Annie works alongside groomers Shelby Riffey and Danielle Parker, a team with decades of combined experience handling pets of every size, age and temperament. A standard package for dogs or cats covers nail trimming, bath, haircut, brushing, de-matting, paw and pad trim, sanitary trim and ear cleaning. The shop also offers de-shedding, flea treatment, medicated itch relief, hypoallergenic grooming and non-toxic fur dyeing. Walk-in nail trims are welcome, though calling ahead is a good idea.
Annie's Retreat, the boarding side of the business, runs out of the family's three-acre property in Beavercreek, about 15 minutes from the salon. Annie and her husband David built it around how they would want their own dogs treated: large kennels, climate control, three fenced dog parks, an indoor play area, woodland walks and frequent potty breaks. Group play is optional. Boarding is $50 per dog per calendar day, walks and medication included, with daily photo updates by text and free pickup and drop-off at the Oregon City salon for qualifying dogs.
