Description
Wild Hare Countryfest to Feature Major Texas, Red Dirt, & Outlaw Country Acts Harefest Producers Launch New Festival to Fill the Northwest Void in Country Music’s Rapidly Growing Genre J-Fell Presents and The Wild Hare Saloon present Wild Hare Countryfest, July 20 – 21, 2018 at Pat’s Acres Racing Complex in Canby, Oregon. This first year original music festival, created by the producers of 8th year “tribute band” festival Harefest, fills a void in the NW festival scene by bringing popular Texas, Red Dirt and Outlaw Country Acts to the region. This year’s headliners, Whiskey Myers (7/20) and Randy Rogers Band (7/21), are among the biggest names in Texas, Red Dirt, and Outlaw Country. Stoney Larue, Parker McCollum, William Clark Green, Sunny Sweeney, and Shane Smith & The Saints will also be featured on the Main Stage. South Carolina’s Greg Payne & The Piedmont Boys, a favorite of local Country fans, will perform both nights of the festival. A second stage features up-and-coming west coast artists including Brass Tacks, The Lowdown Drifters, Jaime Wyatt, Darci Carlson, and Redwood Son. A recent report by Chris Fox, Editor-in-Chief of Texas Music Pickers, highlights the rapid growth of Texas / Red Dirt music across the U.S., “Out-of-region hits grew 42 percent from 2016-2017 and have already toppled last year’s count within this year.” www.texasmusicpickers.com/a-look-at-the-growth-of-texas-red-dirt-music-music/ “There is a revolution happening in Country Music that is centered around real-deal, honest, heart-felt songwriting and performances that resonate with true country fans,” explains festival co-founder and Wild Hare Saloon proprieter Joan Monen. “Our customers have been asking us for this for years, and we are excited to deliver!” The festival area includes tent camping around the Pat’s Acres Racing Complex track and makes use of an adjacent agricultural area for an RV village. The concert area will be enhanced with misting stations, free water stations, a “Texas Two-Step Dancefloor”, a merchandise tent selling festival & band apparel, food & drink vendors, and more. Booking and Production are managed by True West, a long time partner of Harefest and one of the top promoters and production services firms in the Northwest. The complete lineup includes: ? Friday, July 20th: Whiskey Myers, Stoney Larue, William Clark Green, Greg Payne & The Piedmont Boys, Brass Tacks, and Jaime Wyatt. ? Saturday, July 21th: Randy Rogers Band, Parker McCollum, Sunny Sweeney, Shane Smith & The Saints, Greg Payne & The Piedmont Boys, The Lowdown Drifters, Darci Carlson, and Redwood Son.
