Description
Written By Richard Rogers and Oscar Hammerstein
Directed By David Smith-English
This is one Carousel ride you will never forget. Billy Bigelow’s not your typical musical theatre hero. He’s a rough roustabout who learns some tough life lessons. It’s Maine in 1873 and this coastal town is filled with sailors and whalers and women. Billy’s lost his job, commits a crime and in a twist fate winds up dead but is given a second chance at redemption. This 1945 Richard Rodger’s and Oscar Hammerstein II musical classic is set in a whimsical carnival world filled with romance, robbery and intrigue. The brilliant and beautiful score features classics like “If I Loved You,” "June Is Bustin Out All Over” and “You’ll Never Walk Alone."

Join Philly socialite Tracy Lord on the eve of her second wedding as she juggles her fiancée, her ex-husband and a handsome visiting reporter who all vie for her attention. This mad-cap high society comedy starred Katherine Hepburn, Cary Grant and Jimmy Stewart in an Oscar winning film but is rarely done on stage. It’s a comedy classic with style that will leave you happy and even a little romantic too.Written By Philip Barry

This is based on the original Broadway production and is certain to delight everyone in the audience. Them ain character, Tracie Lord, finds that her upcoming wedding to a non-member of the social class might be trickier than she thought when her ex-husband re-enters her life. Cases of mistaken identity and more than a few cases of champagne complicate the situation, but add to the hilarity of the play. - See more at: http://www.clackamasrep.org/productions-2014.php#sthash.PbVcAPy5.dpufAn increibly funny play turned into two movies: The Philadelphia Story and High Society.
